First Doctor's Appointment
On Friday Luke and I went to our first doctor's appointment. It was a little uneventful to say the least. It was just a step on the scale, take my blood, pee in a cup, a good old pap, and a breast exam. I thought I would hear a little bit more about how my baby was doing(I guess the baby really is only the size of a kidney bean). So I asked the doctor to tell me something that would make me feel like I was pregnant and he said, "Your uterus is growing!" That was all I needed- I just said Thanks! So our next appoitment will finally feel like we are really pregnant because we will get to hear the heart beat. So for now I will just enjoy my round flubby belly!!! They did tell me that my official due date is November 9th!

Nov. 9, right on Auntie Meggie's birthday! That really feels special, this little thing could be born on my b-day (and Sabrina's anniversary). I'm so excited!!!

I thought I would have Jason come to all the dr appointments - and then I realized how lame they are - and they only get lamer. He came to hear the heart beat and then for the ultra sound - but that is it. For all your other appointments they will weigh you, measure you, and ask if you have any questions, and that is it! I found it wasn't worth him missing work. I thought they would be more "special" too - but just wait until you hear the heart beat - it will change your life!

round flubby belly?? lol oh al... just you wait. pretty soon you'll be needing luke to put your socks and shoes on for you... then we'll talk flub haha.
