The Big 28

Luke's Birthday was such a fun day for us. He came home and Evan and I had lunch all ready, then we baked all day long, made daddy's favorite chicken dinner, and then finished the day off with a little Cake, Pie, and Ice Cream. In my family Birthday's were just always a really BIG deal! So I always try to make birthdays a special day for Luke too! Luke thinks that I over do it but that is just how its gotta be- heck they only come once a year!

Luke's new shoes- he has been wanting these forever. His dad saw them and said, "those had to have been on the clearance rack!" It was a crack up
Getting ready for us to sing Happy Birthday!
Luke could have killed me....
And yes those are balloons. Luke's response was, "I am 28 years old I don't need balloons!" They really were for the kiddos
Grandpa Joe and Grandma Flossy

The Birthday goodies!
Hallie and Evan- please believe that Evan is 3 months and Hallie is 6 and he is bigger than her!!!

The Birthday Boy!
Anita and Baby Ev

Just wanted you all to see what Evan's new thing is....HELP! I don't want a thumb sucker but it is pretty dang cute once he gets a hold of it!

That's why he won't take a binky! :) A lot of books encourage thumb sucking, but the pediatricians don't...differing opinions everywhere...but you're right it is actually kinda cute.

Oh Ali, if you could only see the thumb that is a permanent fixture on my 3 1/2 year olds face! I really just let her suck her thumb when she was little because I have twins and when one has a way to stop the screaming, you sorta let her do it...but now, oh my. We have tried everything-I don't know what else to do but its pretty bad! No matter how cute, (and I know...its cute) try to break him of it because you can't ever take it away!!! Love Marci Say hello to your mom! Binkies rule! You can take them away!!!

I love that you had balloons even! Birthdays just haven't been the same since you left. And when are you coming for a visit????

I love Luke's apathy to birthdays. So funny! They are a big deal though, I love an excuse to celebrate!
