Evan's Blessing Day

Today we blessed Evan. We were planning on using Luke's little blessing outfit but he didn't fit in it. We tried it on him and it was the type of situation of...How are we going to get this off without cutting it?! He is a big boy and only 6 1/2 weeks old! Luckily Anita found a little outfit from the GAP for him to wear. Luke gave a very special blessing and it was so neat to hear Luke bless our little guy. He did so good throughout the blessing which I was worried about. We had a lot of support today and it was so neat to have a lot of family and friends there. It was quite a special day for our family.

My aunt Jan and her husband Rick were able to come and my grandparents from Idaho even made the trip down just for the blessing!

Grammy and Bompa came. It was pretty neat because Bompa was born in the house that we live in! It is crazy to think that we would live in the Farm house in Palmyra one day. Our ward is the ward that he grew up in.

This is what I did to the table. I loved this idea. My sister in law did this for her baby's blessing- she just put pictures of the baby on cute paper and then covered it with a plastic table cloth!

Needless to say it was a perfect day- despite ther crappy weather. Thank you to everyone for coming to share this special day with us!

He Smiles at 5 1/2 weeks old!!!

It finally happenend! The other day my Mom was talking to Evan and he was reacting to her and smiling sort of. Then this morning Evan was totally smiling at Luke for no reason! It was the cutest thing ever. Luke said it warmed his soul. As the day went on I didn't think much of it and then we went to lunch up in Sandy with Abs. He totally smiled at her too! So I decided I wanted in on the fun and this is what I got too!!!!

Our day on the town just wouldn't be complete without a blow out. How does this happen seriously? Hardly any in the diaper and all up the back! Not to mention in a white outfit. Good thing I was prepared with a back up outfit! We had a fun day none the less...Lunch with Abs, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy & DSW.

March Birthdays

March is a busy month for Birthdays in our Famiy. We start the month off with Chelsi's on the 2nd, Cole's on the 13th, Taycie on the 17th, Maddie on the 27th, and Saige on the 31st!!!! I don't have any pictures of Cole or the girles that haven't had their birthdays but once I do I will post some! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all those with March birthdays!!!!

Taycie celebrated her 1 year old birthday! She was dressed to impress~ We went over to their house for Pizza, cake, and ice cream!

On Monday we went to Tepanyaki to celebrate Chelsi's birthday. The cook we got was hilarious- or at least my mom and I thought so. He was cracking me up!

1 Month and growing~!

It was also my first experience going into the Mother's room with my own baby. It was kinda weird but thank goodness it was there. The little man did so good. He just slept all through church-(Shoot does he already know how boring it can be???) He just woke up for a little grub and then went right back to sleep!

He likes to have his hand in any sort of cleavage I swear...it is automatic. He can find it on anyone! (He really is a boy!!!)
Cassie just loves to hold him- she always tells all of us that, "I don't care if he cries" she will just keep holding him! She is getting a little brother in July, we are so excited for Evan to have a little boy cousin that lives here.

We made a little visit to Joe and Flossy- Lukes grandparents.

He has met most of his cousins now. This is Hallie who is 5 months old. I swear they weigh about the same! That's my boy Evan!

He is not much of a binky baby. He will sometimes take a binky from me but will not for Luke. He prefers to suck on Lukes finger! He will not suck on anyone else's. He usually gets rather agressive on the finger and has his Mommy and Daddy cracking up!

Big Boy Stuff....

Yesterday was Chelsi's 19th birthday! I can't believe she is already done with her first year of college almost. My mom, Evan, and I headed up to Logan to take Chels to lunch. Unfortunately I think she would have rather spent the day with her boyfriend than us :(!!! It was fun to see her apartment and just spend time with her on her special day. Hope you had a great birthday! We love you.

Evan wore the cutest High Tops- thanks to my friend Toria from work. They were a hit. Everyone kept commenting on how cute he looked in his big boy shoes!

Luke was so determined to give Evan his first real bath in the sink. Ev was hating his little sponge baths but the doc told me not to give him real ones until his little cord came off. It took forever but it is finally off. It was so funny because Evan is so nervous in the tub- you have to hold him or else he gets really scared! Luke loves using Baby Magic on the babe- it is the best smelling stuff out there.
