Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve just isn't what it used to be anymore. I remember as a kid being so excited that I just couldn't stand it. I loved going to Pizza night with my Mom's side of the family and then off to Grammy's for the Nativity. We got our Christmas PJ's and then headed home. When we were young we would all sleep down in Josh's room- usually play a little nintendo, late night chats, and a grand ole' sleepover. Then it was all we could do to stay in bed after 5:30 am! Those were the days and Christmas's at our house were truly magical. I knew that Santa was the real deal because we didn't have a lot of money and Santa always pulled through for us. Now it just seems like another day. I am looking forward to next year even though our baby will only be 10 months old. It will still be magical again! I am still a believer in Santa Clause- always have been....always will be!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This past weekend we had the Brown Family Christmas Party. I know this sounds weird but this is my favorite time of year. I love the hussle and bussle, family parties, wrapping presents, and getting into the Christmas Spirit.Dev really isn't scared of Santa but it wasn't quite her turn to sit on Santa's lap!
The boys doing their typical sitting in the corner...avoiding socializing!

This picture is priceless!

So when we showed up to the party Tayc, Dev, and I were totally twins. From white shirts, denim pants, and red shoes. It looked like I was their Mother and we had planned to dress alike. I love these girlies!!!!

1st Baby Shower

Mellanie, Amy, Jocey, & Summer
Summer, Me, Holly, and Lorna

Leslie, Janessa, Whitney, Elsie, & Ali
On Saturday Luke's family threw Me and the Baby a shower. We had a good turn out and I got so much fun stuff. People are just so generous! It was so fun to get blue boy stuff! I have decided that I am going to have to just buy matching socks for his little outfits because boys don't wear bows. I have to admit- having the shower made it more of a reality and it got me totally excited for our little guy to come! Thanks again to everyone who came.

Temple Square with Young Women!

On Friday night we took all of out YW up to Hires Big H and then to see the Lights at Temple square. The traffic was crazy and downtown was crowded but we still ended up having a great time. That is Melissa, Breanne, Sadie, and I. They are the only two we have in Mia Maids these days!
Tiff and I are both due about 10 days apart, both with little boys~!
Here is the group!

Melissa and I always seem to have funner than the girls. We both are prego and both having boys as well and by the time we get home our tummies hurt from laughing so hard. Melissa was making fun of me because I was taking pictures and no one was in them- she just asked me, "What are you going to do with those?" It was hilarious!
Sadie and I

The big group again!

The 3 prego leaders...
Needless to say it was a good time had by all. We ended the night having hot cocoa out of Tiffany's trunk!!! Gotta love Temple Square at Christmas.

THANKSGIVING

At this time of year I am remided of all of the things that I am grateful for. Here are just a few:

- My wonderful husband Luke. We have had our fair share of ups and downs and he is always there for me. He is so helpful around the house and is always doing the dishes and the laundry...you name it. The best part of it is that he doesn't have to be asked, he just does it. He is always loving and so supportive of me. I am thankful that he will be my companion for eternity! (Lucky Luke!!!)
- I am so thankful for this opportunity to be a Mother to a Son. It is something that I have longed for my entire life-literally.
-I am thankful for both of our families and for the love and support they give to us.
-I am thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. The gospel is just my way of life and I am so thankful for prayer, fasting, tithing, the Book of Mormon, and for the sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ.
- I am thankful to live in a free country.
- I am thankful to have a roof over my head, food in my belly, and the simple things in life that I enjoy every day!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season.

Twilight Movie

Melissa, Danielle, Me
Notice anything different about these two pics?
I was able to get a few tickets to go see Twilight at 12 am last night. Let's just say it was a super late night. The movie was a little disappointing....not going to lie. Bella is so boring and mono-tone and some of the scenes are just a hoot. It was still fun to be there opening night and be in on the action. Melissa and Danielle from my office came with me and then my friend Abs met us there. The cute girl Kristy who booked the Theatre gave everyone vampire teeth! It was such a fun night but I felt like road kill this morning. I haven't stayed up till 3:30 am for as long as I can remember. On our way home we just about hit a dear...so needless to say it was an eventful night!

Young Women's

For Young Women's on Wed we had a pie eating contest. We were total girls and only two of the girls participated. The rest of us enjoyed a bit here and there and then some delicious Vanilla Ice cream. It was just fun to be with the Mia Maid girls and eat, laugh, and chat. It seems like yesterday that I was in Young Women's! My cute friend Melissa (the one standing next to me) is also pregnant! 4 of the leaders are pregnant and 3 of us are due in Feb!!!!

Girls Day Out

Saturday Hailey, Dev, Tayc, Me, and my Mom went out for the day and Chelsi joined us later. I mean all day....we started off at Sweet Sadie Boutique then onto some boutique at Lehi Rec Center, Chili's for lunch, Old Navy for friends and family, and then we ended the day at Target. By the end of the day my feet were killing me and Big Al was super tired. While we were in Target Hailey and I looked over at Devree in the cart and she was honestly asleep sitting up...poor girl. So I layed her down and she continued her nap!!! It was hilarious.
Just loving life- sleeping in a cart at Target.

There is a funny story behind this picture. My mom was tending the girls on Friday night so I decided to go spend some time with the girlies. When I got to my Mom's house I went to where I always go these days- the potty! Before I knew it Dev comes in holding my drink and this is what she says, "Ali's juice...just a bit....just a bit". Dev cracks me up- she seriously was just swigging for all she could get while I let her drink my Diet Coke. She just cherished every sip! All through the night I would catch her taking sips...and again she would look at me and just say, "Just a bit K? Just a bit?" How could I say no to that? Sorry Hailey and Dee!

Cute Tayc in her PJ's. She is looking more and more like her mama. If you see pics of Hailey you will see right where this little one comes from! She is a snuggle bug but she is getting very busy!

Is that a Beached whale???? Nope that is me! We were just snuggling watching one of Dev's shows. Dev wanted to see my bare belly and then the baby starting to kick and she just kept moving her hands all over! It was hilarious! Tayc just wants everything in her mouth. It was hilarious because she sucked on my necklace, then it was onto her binki, and before I knew she was totally gritting on my shoulder. (Of course I gave her a few licks of that sucker too) Let's just say that I can't imagine loving my own kids as much as I love these two little girlies. I know I will of course!

Here is what our room looked like this week....Luke painted all weekend, carpet went in today!!!! So tonight I will be putting my room back together. No more sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Thank goodness.
Here is a picture of the beautiful floor we discoverd. I really do love it but we need carpet. It seriously was a darling floor. Old houses are full of character! I will post a picture of our room once it is complete.

SOLD

Sorry- the tickets have officially been sold!

What we've been up to....

Here is our latest project. Apparently we are painting our room, new carpet, and finish work too! We decided while we were in the mood we better take advantage. The problem is we have to sleep on the mattress on the floor in the babies room. It is quite the journey for me to bend down, lay down, and get comfy. I may be spending a few nights at my in-laws just so I can get some sleep. I am so excited to see how our room turns out.
Here is one of the latest additions to the nursery- still need some ideas on how to decorate the shelf. Any suggestions? The blocks are just temporary!

The newest member of the nursery and probably the most comfortable- our recliner. I had been debating on a rocking chair, glider, or a recliner and after some serious research decided on the recliner.
Luke's sister Ali had her baby girl Hallie Jane on Novemeber 5th. She is so tiny and so precious! We were able to be her first visitors. We watched them do all the tests, her first bath, and then we finally got to hold her. I have to be honest I was feeling a lot of emotions because it made me so excited and so nervous all at the same time. It also made me a little sad because my due date with my first pregnancy was on November 8th. I was a little sad that day but it just made me all the more grateful for Baby Stewart in my belly! I can't wait for him to come and meet all of his cousins.

I think he looks like he will make a good daddy! Luke loves his nieces and nephews. He is so funny because he says "well all she does is lays there and sleeps". I didn't want to be rude but come on Lukie she was just a couple hours old! Boys- they just have a lot to learn. I am so excited for Luke to have his little son and to see him be a Dad. I think that everyone needs a daddy. There are just things that you learn from them that you can't learn from your Mom. My dad passed away just after my 13th birthday and to this day I just feel sort of jipped, it just always seems like someone is missing. I never want my kids to not have their Dad in thier lives.
Just a side note......I know that I still have 3 months left- but I am SOOO excited to be a Mommy!!! I am hoping that with the Holidays just around the corner that time will go pretty fast from here. Don't get me wrong I am loving being pregnant and I love being with baby Stewart 24/7 but I just can't wait to meet this little guy!

Hallween Time

November 2nd is my Mom's birthday. This year we just got together at Hailey's for dinner and cake and ice cream since it was on a Sunday. Chels even drove down from Logan to surprise her!
Taycie is is quite the Mama's girl lately. If Hailey was around she didn't even want me- she would just squirm for her Mama! Hence her looking at her in this picture. Taycie is the happiest baby and she just moves everywhere. Why do babies have to get big so fast?!

Chels and I both were wearing scarves. Dev had to have both of ours, my braclet and my watch. She is such a hoot! Oh and she wanted "my binki" in the picture too- that is what is in between her legs. She loves that thing!

On Halloween I took a half day and Luke and I headed down to Vegas for his friends wedding. Let's just say it was quite the drive for me and my belly. I swelled up like nothing else and it lasted the entire weekend! Dustin and Rachel's wedding was so nice. They had their reception at the Canyon Gate Country Club. It was so beautiful! We just stayed at my cousin Theresa's house on Friday night and then Saturday after the reception we made the trip to Cedar City to stay with Luke's brother. We just felt like that entire ride home on Sunday would be too long and then I would probably swell even more! It was a quick but fun getaway.

This is my good friend Melissa. We both serve in the Young Women's in our ward and we had our Stake Youth Halloween Activity. We decided to go all out and dress up. Melissa is also pregnant but she is due a few months after me! We are both having little boys- so fun!

Nursery Phase 3

The nursery is all coming together. It is offical we decided that the baby is going to have the nicest room in the house! Luke was saying that it is not fair that the baby gets new carpet, paint, and his own bed. No worries folks- the walls are a little bare but give me some time and the final product will be complete
The dresser

This is just a glimpse of the bumper and mobile. We picked up our crib and dresser on Thursday and then on Friday my package arrived with my crib set and mobile. I absolutely love it!

I love love love the crib!

Luke was cracking me up while we were putting the crib together. He kept asking me for different tools and I didn't know what they were. He would ask for a Washer or something else and he would just look at me knowing I didn't know what I was supposed to hand him. He finally said that I wasn't much help! Now that the crib is all set up it is time to decorate the walls, find a rocking chair or glider, etc. It finally is starting to feel real that we really are having a baby. I think that we both secretly love that the crib is already set up because we both are so stinking excited for Baby Stewart to come!

Chuck-E-Cheese

The Kiddos!
Porter was so serious about these rides!

Just ridin' the rides!

Dev and Hailey

Dev kept sneaking Hailey's Diet Coke- it was hilarious!

Taycie is such a happy baby!

Once again- Po being so serious!
I think Dallin B rode this 10 times- No lie!

It has been so fun to have Dal and Po in town. I don't think they have missed out on one fun fall thing to do in Utah. One night this week we took all the kiddos over to Chuck-E-Cheese. They all had a blast and even enjoyed the cardboard tasting pizza! We are going to miss having these boys in town.

Nursery Phase 2

Here is what the room looks like today! We have gotten up all the carpet- and look at the beautiful floor we discovered! Luke has done all the finish work and he did such a good job. He is such a handy man. After how nice the new paint looks in the nursery we thought we could just paint the whole house- well that was before we started the 2 tone business. I think we will just stick with the wood paneling for now! As for the room Luke is doing the final touches today and then the new carpet goes in on Wed. The Crib and Dresser are in and ready to be picked up, I ordered the bedding this weekend. So this nursery is going to be done before we know it! I am getting to the point where I can barely sqeeze through the bed and the wall in our room which means that soon we will need to change sides of the bed. Next, I am starting to have a hard time breathing sometimes, and my belly is definitely a 6 month belly these days. Luke is just amazed at how big I am getting!!! Scary that I have 3 months to go- which means a lot of growing ahead! I love being able to feel the little guy move in my tummy- it is just a special thing that I am just going to enjoy while I can. Everyone asks me how I am feeling- I am feeling great and don't really have much to complain about. If the worst thing that happens to me is a bunch of zits on my face, back aches, and swelling I suppose there could be a lot of worse things!
