On the Move...

We have just recently moved from Palmyra  to Cedar Hills.
Saying good-bye to the farm was harder than I ever imagined, but maybe one day we will be back! We lived here for over 6 years, 3 kiddos, 3 dogs, 5 chickens (minus 1 to Newt), 2 dead racoons, and the list goes on.  We made so many great friends and were so blessed to live in Grandma Hansen's house.  We will forever cherish our memories down on the farm.
This is what Evan looked like when I told him it was his last time to ride his John Deere on the farm. Broke our hearts!

One thing I was always scared of was the creepy basement!  I made Luke put a little latch on the door so that the Oger couldn't get us.
Leaving this Big swing behind was a sad thing!  Evan finally was brave enough to get on this year.  I think anyone who ever came down to the farm when we were growing up has memories of this thing!

And here are some just for memories sake:)

We are so thankful for everyone who helped us move and for those who have helped us in this transition.  We can't wait to see what the future holds in store for The Stewart's.

Mason 1 Month

I can't believe our little man is already a month old.  It is so crazy how fast it goes as you get to know your little newborn baby.  You have to learn pretty fast what they need/want in order to survive I swear!  Here is what Mason's 1st month has been like:
He loves to nurse constantly
He is a lazy eater
He loves to be snuggled
He has HUGE hands and HUGE feet
He loves to sleep right by his Mama
He went out to the job site for the first time
He had his first bath from Nanny
He was under the bili lights for 4 days
He had to be tested for almost 2 weeks for his bili level (so sad)
He didn't weigh up to birth weight by his 2 week appt
He doesn't really love the binki yet:)
He is so handsome
He has brown hair and blue eyes
He sleeps most of the time
He is loved by his brother and sister
He gets tons of kisses
He is a nice baby
He has a hard time going #2
He is a little Sweet heart

Mason Henry Stewart

Mason Henry Stewart was born on Friday July 13, 2012.  He weighed 9 lbs even and was 21 in long!

I ended up being induced a week early because well just because I could!  I was a little hesitant to have a baby on Friday the 13th but it turned out to be just dandy.  The hospital called me right at 5:30 am to come in. So Anita came to be with the kiddos and we made our way to the hospital.  By the time we were in my room and hooked up to the pit it was about 10 am.  It ended up being a long day for Mama and baby because the pit was making the little fella's heart rate drop so they had to keep turning it off.  I was still contracting on my own but not at a fast pace!  I started to push and then the doctor told me to stop once his head was out...(so he could get the cord from around his neck....SCARY) and then I did a half of a push and Wa La!!! Out came a whopping 9 lb baby at 3:29 PM.  On his way out he even grabbed the Dr.'s finger- the Dr. said that was a first for him. When he first came out and they were cleaning him off everyone in the room was saying he was bigger than Evan- I was dying because Evan weighed 9 lbs 12 oz.  I thought there is no way.  He was just a precious baby boy and I held him and nursed him right away.  The first thing we all noticed was his Huge hands and Huge feet.  He was definitely all boy! We couldn't be happier with our healthy baby boy.  I ended up staying in the hospital just until the following day because we decided that Mama and baby were doing great and we were ready to sleep in our own bed.  The first few nights were a little rough- Anita came one night and my Mom came the next.  It was so nice because they let me sleep and just brought him to me when it was time for him to eat.  We feel so blessed to have 3 healthy children!  Welcome to our family Mason~

A lesson learned

I signed Evan up for swimming a few months ago and we would talk about it often.  It was the week of June 18th-23rd.  When we passed by it I would always tell Evan that is where his swimming lessons would be and how fun it would be.  He was so excited and asked all the time if it was time for swimming.  Well folks the day came- we took a picture of the first day and he was so excited! And here is where the lesson begins.  When we got there I could tell that my nervous nelly son was totally uncomfortable and not so sure about this business.  He is not scared of the water one bit but he was not interested in lessons!  I about died.  I was chasing Livi as she was trying to jump in for swim lessons of her own, and Evan cried the ENTIRE 30 minutes.  In fact, halfway through the teacher asked me to leave!!! I was mortified- and I could still hear Evan crying, "Mommy, Mommy" which he never does.  I was ready to QUIT right then and there and just give up.  Well....the second day he cried a bit, he didn't want to go all the way down the slide, etc.  Well folks, I dropped Livi off to the neighbors and gave Evan my full attention and by the end of the week this little man was a CHAMP!  He was jumping off the diving board, swimming with his face in the water, going all the way down the slide, etc!  He loved it.  And here I was ready to give up.  I think Evan and I both learned a vaulable lesson- Never give up!!! Way to go Evan.  Mama is so proud of you and Daddy even pulled through with a tool belt for "Successfully completing swim lessons"!!!

Catch up!!!

Over Memorial Day we headed down with the Stewart Clan to St. George for a little get-a-way!  We went to Zions, ate yummy food, shopped a little, swam, played tennis, and just hung out.  The kiddos did awesome on the hike in Zions and Big Mama even made the trek 8 months prego:)

We have loved loved loved being outside.  As soon as the door opens Miss Livi is out the door in a hurry!  It has been so HOT this summer already that our time doesn't last long.  Evan lives on his tractor and is constantly planting corn, hay, & grain.  Then he has to plow it of course.  He literally could be out there All.Day.Long!

We have just enjoyed being home a lot and getting ready for our little brother to come.

Easter 2012

Easter was so fun this year!  We added 5 little Easter Chicks to our family, Easter Egg Hunts, dying eggs, Easter sugar cookies, and Easter Sunday.  Evan was all about talking about how Jesus was Resurrected, the tomb, and that He lives.  It was pretty cute to hear him talk about it and kinda understand the true meaning of Easter.  Here are some pictures of Easter~Enjoy!
