It all started at 8 o'clock Tuesday night. I started cramping and not feeling so hot after I had been to the Dr. at 4 and had my last check up and the Dr. stripped my membranes...again. Well I decided to hop in the shower, wash my hair so that just in case this was the real deal I would be "ready" well at least my hair would be clean! haha While blow drying my hair I started having contractions about every 8-10 minutes. I had done this before and they lasted an hour and then stopped. Well these ones were here to stay. At 9 I finally admitted to Luke that I was having contractions every 5-6 minutes. I tried watching biggest loser and then they were every 4-5 minutes. I called my Mom, my sis, and my mother in law. They all said "Get to the hospital" but I was still so hesitant because I was so scared of getting sent home! Finally at 10 Luke was like, "Is this the real deal or what". I had been induced with Evan so I didn't really know what the whole going into labor was like. I just told him not to get mad at me if they sent us home but I thought we better go. We dropped little Evan off at Anita's and off we were to the hospital- still steady contractions about every 3-5 minutes. Man those contractions HURT!!!! Well we got to the hospital and Luke walked me to the elevator, then I went up to get all set up and checked. I got to the counter, waited for Luke and then they put us in a room. The lady just said that they would monitor me for an hour and see if I progressed any. As soon as the nurse came in she put on those lovely blue gloves and checked me and sure enough I was a 5+!!! Next thing I knew they were hooking me up to an IV and things were getting started. This picture is my last one of being pregnant- don't mind the baby monitor on my belly!
So I was admitted at 10:40 pm on the 22nd. We called our Mom's and told them that Baby Stewart #2 was on the way!!! I couldn't believe it- I loved going into labor on my own and experiencing that rush! I got my epidural at 11:30pm and I was at a 6 or 7. My Mom, Hailey, Chels, and Anita were there for the big event, we were just chatting away when I felt the gush at about 12:45 am!!! They weren't going to break my water because I was Group B+ so I needed to have the IV of penicilin for at least 4 hours- so luckily it broke on its own. I was just cracking up. The second time around was already a different experience! I told everyone that I was feeling a lot of pressure and that I thought I was ready to push. Sure enough the nurse came in and I was complete and I was ready to push!!! The Dr. came in and looked at the clock- he just said I bet this baby will be here before 1 am. Luke was like yeah right. (I had to push for 2 1/2 hours with Evan) Then it was time to get in those lovely stirups and start pushing. I had a contraction...pushed and out came the head...another contraction and the Dr. said are you ready to find out what this baby is? Are you ready?!...Pushed again and all I can remember is everyone in the room yelling at 12:56 am: "IT"S A GIR6L!!!!!" I was totally shocked. Luke and I had thoguht it was a boy all along. Evan and my Mom on the other hand never questioned that is was a little girl inside my belly. I will forever be grateful to Luke for making me wait to find out what it was! Best surprsie ever- not only was it a perfectly, healthy, crying baby, It was a GIRL!!!! So dang fun. Labor was a piece of cake this time and I really appreciate Evan paving the way down South for this little baby girl! So I can't complain about a thing- she was ready to come and she came so fast!!!

We are just so grateful that our sweet baby girl made it here safe and sound! We are loving having her in our family. Luckily Evan has made the adjustment a breeze- now that doesn't mean he doesn't need a little extra attention now and then! :) It was so fun to have friends and family come visit at the hospital. I honestly wasn't expecting "PINK" so I wasn't fully prepared! So thanks to everyone for the bows and blankets!!! We are loving her already!
