Olivia Marie Stewart

It all started at 8 o'clock Tuesday night.  I started cramping and not feeling so hot after I had been to the Dr. at 4 and had my last check up and the Dr. stripped my membranes...again.  Well I decided to hop in the shower, wash my hair so that just in case this was the real deal I would be "ready" well at least my hair would be clean! haha While blow drying my hair I started having contractions about every 8-10 minutes.  I had done this before and they lasted an hour and then stopped.  Well these ones were here to stay.  At 9 I finally admitted to Luke that I was having contractions every 5-6 minutes.  I tried watching biggest loser and then they were every 4-5 minutes.  I called my Mom, my sis, and my mother in law.  They all said "Get to the hospital" but I was still so hesitant because I was so scared of getting sent home!  Finally at 10 Luke was like, "Is this the real deal or what".  I had been induced with Evan so I didn't really know what the whole going into labor was like.  I just told him not to get mad at me if they sent us home but I thought we better go.  We dropped little Evan off at Anita's and off we were to the hospital- still steady contractions about every 3-5 minutes.  Man those contractions HURT!!!!  Well we got to the hospital and Luke walked me to the elevator, then I went up to get all set up and checked.  I got to the counter, waited for Luke and then they put us in a room.  The lady just said that they would monitor me for an hour and see if I progressed any.  As soon as the nurse came in she put on those lovely blue gloves and checked me and sure enough I was a 5+!!!  Next thing I knew they were hooking me up to an IV and things were getting started.  This picture is my last one of being pregnant- don't mind the baby monitor on my belly!
So I was admitted at 10:40 pm on the 22nd.  We called our Mom's and told them that Baby Stewart #2 was on the way!!!  I couldn't believe it- I loved going into labor on my own and experiencing that rush!  I got my epidural at 11:30pm and I was at a 6 or 7.  My Mom, Hailey, Chels, and Anita were there for the big event, we were just chatting away when I felt the gush at about 12:45 am!!! They weren't going to break my water because I was Group B+ so I needed to have the IV of penicilin for at least 4 hours- so luckily it broke on its own.  I was just cracking up.  The second time around was already a different experience!   I told everyone that I was feeling a lot of pressure and that I thought I was ready to push. Sure enough the nurse came in and I was complete and I was ready to push!!!  The Dr. came in and looked at the clock- he just said I bet this baby will be here before 1 am.  Luke was like yeah right. (I had to push for 2 1/2 hours with Evan) Then it was time to get in those lovely stirups and start pushing.  I had a contraction...pushed and out came the head...another contraction and the Dr. said are you ready to find out what this baby is? Are you ready?!...Pushed again and all I can remember is everyone in the room yelling at 12:56 am: "IT"S A GIR6L!!!!!"  I was totally shocked. Luke and I had thoguht it was a boy all along.  Evan and my Mom on the other hand never questioned that is was a little girl inside my belly.  I will forever be grateful to Luke for making me wait to find out what it was!  Best surprsie ever- not only was it a perfectly, healthy, crying baby, It was a GIRL!!!!  So dang fun.  Labor was a piece of cake this time and I really appreciate Evan paving the way down South for this little baby girl! So I can't complain about a thing- she was ready to come and she came so fast!!!

Dearest Baby #2

Where oh where are you?!
I know I still have a week or so till you are supposed to come- but just so you know we are all ready for your arrival!  I can't even explain the feeling to not know whether you are a little boy or a little girl.  Each day it seems I think you are a boy...but than wait you really could be a girl.  When daddy told me he wanted you to be a surprise I thought I would never be able to make it- and here we are!!!
-I have loved being pregnant with you and taking you everywhere we go.
-I have loved having Evan kiss my tummy and sing to you, "Baby, Baby".
-I have thoroughly enjoyed not swelling and having acne so bad!
(Aside from a zit here and there- I can't complain)
- I love feeling you move around and especially feeling your sweet little hiccups!
- I love that I wonder every single day what you look like and if you will look like your brother.
- I love that you didn't make me sick one bit- except for heartburn each and every day!
- I love that each night is like Christmas Eve this last week wondering when you will come and what you are going to be!!!
-I love that you are coming to our home and that you will be apart of our family.
- I love watching you move around in my tummy, and my entire tummy moves!
-I can't wait to see how your brother is with you, I know that he will love you so much!

I hope you know how grateful we are to have you on your way.  We pray every night that you will be healthy and strong and that you will make it here safely!  We can't wait to kiss your cheeks, hold your sweet little hands, and eat your little piggies.  Evan has said all along that you are a "Sissy" so we will just wait and see if he knew something we didn't know all along! So Baby Stewart #2 feel free to make your way- we are "PATIENTLY" waiting your arrival! We love you already~

Evan's 2nd Birthday Party

All Aboard:
My dear friend Tiff just whipped up these cute little invites for me.
Wed while I was getting everything put together Evan was busy too!  I left it just the way it was for Luke to see what Evan does everytime I am baking in the kitchen.  I just never want to forget these cute little things he does.
Evan the night before getting all ready for his Choo Choo party.
These were the little Engine cookies that literally took me all day long....and don't worry Luke said to me, "I don't mean to be rude but what are these supposed to be?"  I about died!  So if you can't tell they are little Engine train sugar cookies!
Being 9 months prego and ready to pop I had lost all my desire to make the cake this year.  So once again I enlisted in my other talented friend Kim for the cake.  This is what she whipped up for me!  I almost cried when I saw it because it was way above and beyond my expectations.  I was determined not to have to order a Thomas the Train cake for some reason.  I just wanted a little train and  you can't imagine how hard it is to just find trains that aren't Thomas....impossible!!!
These were the little take home gift- a little wooden Choo Choo whistle!
These were the little take home favors and yes they got smeared:
Thanks for Chugging on over and celebrating my 2nd birthday with me!  Love, Evan
Luke and I gave Evan a little Red Trike. He absolutely loved it!
(Don't mind my 9 month belly here...)
He was so excited about his new trike and especially the little bell it came with!!!
Evan loves all his cousins and he adores the Ethington gals.  It was so cute to see him get excited about all of his gifts!  He got spoiled rotten and we really do appreciate it.
Here is the Birthday Boy and his Mama with the cake.  I think I loved Evan's birthday as much as he did because he understood that it was his special day!
Happy 2nd Birthday Evan.  It was so fun to spend this special day with you and all our family and friends!  Evan is going to love his little hoop, picnic table, bike, clothes, magnents, balls, clothes, rain boots and the list goes on!  Thanks to everyone for spending Evan's birthday with us!

Happy 2nd Birthday Evan Luke Stewart!!!

Feb 10th, 2009 this little man came to our family and now he is celebrating his
2nd
Birthday today!!!!
Happy Happy Birthday Evan
I know I sound completely ridiculous saying this, but I honestly can't believe that my little guy is TWO!  Where did the time go?  It serioulsy seems like yesterday that he was born. He is going to be the best big brother.  We absolutely love our little Evan to pieces and we can't imagine our lives without him.  He is the best thing ever!  Evan is kinda a Mama's boy- throughout the day I find myself laughing because he is literally never 2 feet away from me.  He does his own thing but usually its right at my feet.  For instance if I am blow drying my hair he is usually in the bathroom playing with tractors or he will bring in books to look at. Don't get me wrong- he loves his Dada too!
Here are some of what Evan does at 2:
-Talks up a storm
-Loves playing with his cousins
-Loves to read books
-Loves to watch: Barney, Thomas, Elmo, Toy Story 3, and Fireman Sam
-Loves to get cozy
-Finally loves the nursery
-Doesn't love his car seat
-Loves getting suckers at the bank and Combo's
-Loves to watch Daddy pull up from work
-Likes to be independent- eat on his own, put his shoes on the best he can, put on his pants, etc.
Here are some of our favorite things he says:
-Wanna get tozy (cozy)
-Bout it (when he wants to read a story or talk about something)
- Mama no go bye bye
-Dada breaked it/ Dada fix it
-Find it!
-Luv U
- Lellow (yellow)
- Baby out
- No na-night
-I want out!!!
-SAM SAM, Melmo (Elmo), Percy, Barney, Bop Baby, Bj Lellow, Bert/Ernie
- He can say all his cousins, aunts, uncles, friends names
-No toto
-Sit, Sit (whoever he is playing with he will tell them right where to sit!)
These are just a few!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday!!! We love you~
