Merry Christmas 2010

 Santa found us!
This tractor was pretty much all Evan cared about.  Santa thought it would be nice to get some pants that fit and some shoes that actually fit too...Evan just said, "No Shoes Mama." It was hilarious!  When he saw the tractor he was literally jumping around.  It was so cute- he would just load everything he opened onto his tractor.
Evan was so fun for us to watch this year because he actually could open the presents!  He would just tear and rip everything to get it open.
Santa even brought Baby #2 something to go home from the hospital in.  Green for Boy, Pink for Girl!!!
This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Stewart's and Christmas day with my family.  We didn't take one picture at my Mom's house!!! So here are some pictures from Christmas eve.
The annual Christmas Pj's Picture on the stairs:
All the cousins opening their gifts from eachother!
Kael got Evan a Thomas Choo Choo that he hasn't stopped playing with since!
We had such a fun Christmas this year!  We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to share it with.  We hope you all had a great Holiday Season and we want to wish you all a Happy New Year 2011!!!!

December in Review

It seems like we have been so busy this entire month.
Going from one thing to the next!
I just wanted to document some of  my favorite things about Christmas time this year.
I loved Evan's Christmas Church clothes for his Grandma's.
Evan though it got old after awhile I never want to forget Evan watching out all of our windows the tractors.  He would honestly go from window to window following the tractors.  Our neighbor saw him waving once and then before I knew it he came to the door to take Evan on a real tractor ride.  Poor Evan wouldn't get near the thing!  I was cracking up- he was so nervous, and just said "Mama ba bye".  Which meant Mama take me home! Once we got back inside sure enough he was back at the window watching and a waving~!
Evan still is not a fan of Santa Clause.  He loved talking about him, singing songs, waving to Santa, but didn't appreciate getting close one bit!  So this year I decided to not make Evan suffer through the pain at the mall visiting Santa- but let's hope he gets a little braver next  year!  When we would ask Evan what he wanted Santa to bring him he would just say, "Ho Ho, Choo Choo".  It was just about the cutest thing you have ever heard.
Next, Evan absolutely loved watching the snow.  He would come tell me, "mama snowing".  He loved watching for the plows.  Well one day we got dumped on and Luke went down and borrowed his Dad's tractor.  As you could imagine Evan was going nuts that there was a real tractor at our house and on top of all that Daddy was the driver!  Yet again, scared to death.  I am thinking one of these days I am going to have to get on one of them and take Evan for a ride- wouldn't that be a funny sight!  So instead of riding with Daddy Evan just sat in our bedroom window and watched, waving everytime Luke would go back and forth.
Here is Evan all bundled up ready for the snow!  The funny story behind this is that those boots he has on are 2 sizes too small.  My sister in law gave them to us and Evan is just a growing machine so unfortunately they didn't fit.  Evan was bound and determined to get them on and go outside- I am pretty sure his piggies were all scrunched up, but he didn't seem to mind!
Evan loved our tree this year.  Every morning he would be in charge of plugging in the lights.  The day I took the tree down I did it while he was sleeping.  I put the Choo Choo away as well.  The poor guy woke up from his nap and was so confused about where they both had gone.  "Mama No Choo Ba Bye". He spotted it in the pile to go out to the garage and had a little melt down!  Poor Fella...
Our good friends Tiff and George were in town and came by for a lunch and a visit.  It is so funny because even though they never see eachother they seriously are the best of buds.  They hug eachother, play motor cycles, Choo Choo, you name it.  They played so hard that they both climbed in our bed and requested Barney.  Tiff and I thought they were honestly going to fall asleep- they had worn eachother out!
We Hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas!!!! Stay tuned for the Christmas Day post.

Thanksgiving Break

This year for Thanksgiving we headed up to Midway and had dinner with my Dad's side of the family.  We spent the entire weekend up there which was lovely. (And by we...I mean Evan and I) Luke ditched us and went to North Dakota hunting.  This year Hailey, Chels, and I did some black friday shopping.  We all scored and got what we were out for- which made losing a nights sleep worth it.  Or sorta worth it I should say!
I was able to get the train I wanted to go around our tree for Evan....and lets just say we turned it on Sunday and it is now Wed and we are almost out of batteries already!  I will never forget the first time I turned the train on, Evan's face just lite right up and he was waving at Santa and the elves and saying, "Mama, My choo choo".  Not going to lie I got a little tear in my eye.  Since then this train is on 90% of our day, I have to put it back on the tracks about 75% of the time, and it is still worth it.  Evan will just lay there and watch it go around and around- and the Christmas tree lights are a must when its on!
 Where you can find Evan.....
We spent a lot of time with cousins and Evan loved every second of it!
Our good friends Tiff and George were in town so we made sure to meet up with them! We had lunch at Red Robin and then went for a ride on the train at the Provo Towne Center mall.  The boys were in heaven on the Choo Choo!
Waiting for our turn on the train~
Evan and Mama with the conductor~
Attempting to get a picture with the two boys by the train......
Needless to say we had a great Thanksgiving with Family and Friends.  I am absolutely loving this stage with Evan.  He is so funny about his trains, and by funny I mean a little obsessed.  I think Santa ought to bring him a train with tracks for Christmas, what do you think?!  We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
