Happy 1st Birthday!!!!

I seriously cannot believe that my baby Evan is turning one today. I will never forget the day he was born ever- We were so anxious to see him and make sure he was healthy with 10 fingers and 10 toes. He was 9 lbs. 12 oz. and just a HUGE baby! It was something so special the first time you see your little baby. This year has flown way too fast! I am the typical Mom when I say it seems like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital- but it really does. Evan has changed our lives and we are so grateful to have him our family. We are lucky parents if you ask me! This first year, first baby thing was a lot different than I could have ever expected. I thought I was totally prepared with all my babysitting/nanny experiences, but I wasn't! Evan taught me more than I could have ever imagined, there will always be something special with Evan because he was my first and he really taught us what it means to be parents. You never really know what its like to be the "Mom" until you are the Mom. It's 24/7 and its worth every minute. Luke has been the best little Daddy is is so helpful- he was like a natural. Sometimes he would suggest things that totally were right, but aren't Mom's supposed to know everything?! I can remember those first few weeks with Evan, I thought I would just sit home all day in the same chair nursing everyday....little did I know how quickly those days would end. I cherish those moments now of just holding my sleeping child in my arms. Now he is on the go and so much fun. He is our best friend! So baby Evan Happy Birthday- Mommy and Daddy love you to the Moon and back! Here is what Evan can do now:
He is WALKING!!!!
He is done nursing and drinks straight from cups/sippy cups
He loves the remote control and my mixing bowls
He is still a way good sleeper
He loves playing with all of his toyse jibbers all day long
He loves to always know where his Mama is
He loves getting into everything and keeps his Mama busy!
He loves bananas, waffles, & pickles
He never took a bottle, or a binky! We made it all the way with nursing and we couldn't be happier!
He has never really been sick
He is a happy little fella
Evan is such a funny guy these days- his little personality is really coming out. He is so much fun! Lately he has been really into Luke- its pretty dang cute. He hears the door open and he is charging to see his Daddy! We can't wait to see what this next year brings with Evan! We love you!!!
Was he really ever this small?!
