Merry Christmas 2010

 Santa found us!
This tractor was pretty much all Evan cared about.  Santa thought it would be nice to get some pants that fit and some shoes that actually fit too...Evan just said, "No Shoes Mama." It was hilarious!  When he saw the tractor he was literally jumping around.  It was so cute- he would just load everything he opened onto his tractor.
Evan was so fun for us to watch this year because he actually could open the presents!  He would just tear and rip everything to get it open.
Santa even brought Baby #2 something to go home from the hospital in.  Green for Boy, Pink for Girl!!!
This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Stewart's and Christmas day with my family.  We didn't take one picture at my Mom's house!!! So here are some pictures from Christmas eve.
The annual Christmas Pj's Picture on the stairs:
All the cousins opening their gifts from eachother!
Kael got Evan a Thomas Choo Choo that he hasn't stopped playing with since!
We had such a fun Christmas this year!  We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to share it with.  We hope you all had a great Holiday Season and we want to wish you all a Happy New Year 2011!!!!

December in Review

It seems like we have been so busy this entire month.
Going from one thing to the next!
I just wanted to document some of  my favorite things about Christmas time this year.
I loved Evan's Christmas Church clothes for his Grandma's.
Evan though it got old after awhile I never want to forget Evan watching out all of our windows the tractors.  He would honestly go from window to window following the tractors.  Our neighbor saw him waving once and then before I knew it he came to the door to take Evan on a real tractor ride.  Poor Evan wouldn't get near the thing!  I was cracking up- he was so nervous, and just said "Mama ba bye".  Which meant Mama take me home! Once we got back inside sure enough he was back at the window watching and a waving~!
Evan still is not a fan of Santa Clause.  He loved talking about him, singing songs, waving to Santa, but didn't appreciate getting close one bit!  So this year I decided to not make Evan suffer through the pain at the mall visiting Santa- but let's hope he gets a little braver next  year!  When we would ask Evan what he wanted Santa to bring him he would just say, "Ho Ho, Choo Choo".  It was just about the cutest thing you have ever heard.
Next, Evan absolutely loved watching the snow.  He would come tell me, "mama snowing".  He loved watching for the plows.  Well one day we got dumped on and Luke went down and borrowed his Dad's tractor.  As you could imagine Evan was going nuts that there was a real tractor at our house and on top of all that Daddy was the driver!  Yet again, scared to death.  I am thinking one of these days I am going to have to get on one of them and take Evan for a ride- wouldn't that be a funny sight!  So instead of riding with Daddy Evan just sat in our bedroom window and watched, waving everytime Luke would go back and forth.
Here is Evan all bundled up ready for the snow!  The funny story behind this is that those boots he has on are 2 sizes too small.  My sister in law gave them to us and Evan is just a growing machine so unfortunately they didn't fit.  Evan was bound and determined to get them on and go outside- I am pretty sure his piggies were all scrunched up, but he didn't seem to mind!
Evan loved our tree this year.  Every morning he would be in charge of plugging in the lights.  The day I took the tree down I did it while he was sleeping.  I put the Choo Choo away as well.  The poor guy woke up from his nap and was so confused about where they both had gone.  "Mama No Choo Ba Bye". He spotted it in the pile to go out to the garage and had a little melt down!  Poor Fella...
Our good friends Tiff and George were in town and came by for a lunch and a visit.  It is so funny because even though they never see eachother they seriously are the best of buds.  They hug eachother, play motor cycles, Choo Choo, you name it.  They played so hard that they both climbed in our bed and requested Barney.  Tiff and I thought they were honestly going to fall asleep- they had worn eachother out!
We Hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas!!!! Stay tuned for the Christmas Day post.

Thanksgiving Break

This year for Thanksgiving we headed up to Midway and had dinner with my Dad's side of the family.  We spent the entire weekend up there which was lovely. (And by we...I mean Evan and I) Luke ditched us and went to North Dakota hunting.  This year Hailey, Chels, and I did some black friday shopping.  We all scored and got what we were out for- which made losing a nights sleep worth it.  Or sorta worth it I should say!
I was able to get the train I wanted to go around our tree for Evan....and lets just say we turned it on Sunday and it is now Wed and we are almost out of batteries already!  I will never forget the first time I turned the train on, Evan's face just lite right up and he was waving at Santa and the elves and saying, "Mama, My choo choo".  Not going to lie I got a little tear in my eye.  Since then this train is on 90% of our day, I have to put it back on the tracks about 75% of the time, and it is still worth it.  Evan will just lay there and watch it go around and around- and the Christmas tree lights are a must when its on!
 Where you can find Evan.....
We spent a lot of time with cousins and Evan loved every second of it!
Our good friends Tiff and George were in town so we made sure to meet up with them! We had lunch at Red Robin and then went for a ride on the train at the Provo Towne Center mall.  The boys were in heaven on the Choo Choo!
Waiting for our turn on the train~
Evan and Mama with the conductor~
Attempting to get a picture with the two boys by the train......
Needless to say we had a great Thanksgiving with Family and Friends.  I am absolutely loving this stage with Evan.  He is so funny about his trains, and by funny I mean a little obsessed.  I think Santa ought to bring him a train with tracks for Christmas, what do you think?!  We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Leaves anyone???

Anyone who has ever been to Grandma Hansen's in the fall knows that there are plenty of Fall leaves...everywhere!  I can remember as a young girl being so excited to come down to the farm and jump in the leaves.  Little did I know it wouldn't be as fun when your the one to rake them up- or actually Luke has to rake them up!  Evan was a little hesitant but he did like it for a split second.
One of the few smiles from inside the pile!
Lately we have had some cows in the field directly behind our house.  Evan has been obsessed with them- he will push the stool to the back window and watch them for literally 45 minutes straight.  He waves to them, moos, and asks me where they are going when they leave.  So the other day we went out back to the fence and watched them, of course they all left when we joined them but Evan was thrilled anyways!
Still watching....mooing, and waving.  He is a total country boy!
Evan loves his Daddy...actually that would be an understatement.  He worships his Daddy.  He loves to try on his shoes, hats, belts, and ask where Dad is all throughout the day.  It is precious.  His newest love is this Team Black Lab fleece hat that is about 5 sizes too big.  He insists on putting it on when we leave the house and says, "My Dada".
And the time has come at our house to put up the Tree, bust out our Christmas sweaters for church, and get in the Holiday spirit!!!
We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year, and that you may all travel safe!!!  We are so thankful for all of our many blessings.  We are thankful for all of our Family & Friends, the gospel, a roof over our heads, food on the table, and just for one another.  We are most grateful this year for Baby #2 on the way & pray for a healthy baby, whether it be a brother or a sister!!!

tRiCk-Or-TrEaT

This year for Halloween we did our typical things...went to my Mom's office for a little trick-or-treat parade, then Saturday did our ward trunk-or-treat.  Evan loved being Mickey, despite the fact that he doesn't really know who he is!  He was darling and loved putting the "ears" on.  My Mom found this darling iron on things for Luke and I to wear- I wasn't so sure that Luke would comply...but sure enough he did!
Our family of 3- soon to be 4
Evan & Hallie at the Trunk-or-Treat
Taycie & Evan
(Evan loves, loves, loves Tayc! He says her name perfectly and it is
the cutest thing ever.)
Evan is just like his Mama- he loves his sweets!
I wanted to do something festive so we invited our friends Trina & Steve to Cornbelly's!
We rode the train, went down the slides, walked around, & took a lot of pics.
Evan and Luke flying down the slide
Evan was pretty nervous about the Fire truck- but he loved it from a distance!
This was the bumpiest train ride of your life- Steve was worried I was going to go into labor.  It was hilarious!
I secretly have always wanted a picture on the Famous Rocking Chair....But then I remembered I hate pictures of me when I am pregnant!!!
Hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!!!
I am ready to put up my tree and start with all the Holiday traditions already.
Luke warned me that if I put up the tree before Thanksgiving that he personally would take it down!

October

What would October be without Halloween sugar cookies?  Well if you want to find out just look at my belly, hips, and thighs!!!
Evan loves playing with his cousin Kael.  The other night we watched him for a few hours and these two boys were cracking me up!  Kael wanted the car and was on it first...but Evan wanted to be on it too.  This is how I found them.
Evan's latest obsession is Choo Choo's.  It's the first thing he wants to do in the morning and pretty much all day as well!  He always says, "Mama Choo Choo" in a sort a pouty voice and face that a Mom just can't resist.  He wants to play trains all day!!!
Thank you Walmart for making $5 Thomas PJ's!
Evan is at such a fun age these days.  He really is my best bud.  I can't imagine my life without this little guy.  He will give his Mama loves and kisses on call and is always making sure that I am around. Being pregnant and all there have been a few tears shed and he is so worried about me when he see's me crying! Such a sweet little boy. He is so curious about my growing belly- he will kiss it, pat it, love on it, and say Baby.  I don't think he fully realizes what is really on it's way but I know that he will be such a good brother.  Mama loves you Evan!

Visiting the Cemetary

Hailey and I decided to go up and take the kids to visit Grandpa Brad.  We took balloons and pumpkins straight from my garden! (well the pumpkins at least) Each time we go I think the kids get a little confused about why we leave things when no one is there?! We left a pumpkin from each kid including the babe in my belly.
Tayc was loving these balloons....
Happy Halloween Grandpa Brad
Evan gets a little nervous everytime we go?!
Hailey, Dev, & Tayc
We had a fun day with our cousins!  Evan and Tayc are getting to the point where they both want the same thing...sound familiar?!  So needless to say Evan will be learing how to share!  It was a perfect day for a visit although I always leave just wishing he was here with us because I know that he would love and adore all the grandkids.  Its such a fun time of life and we are sad that he is missing out!  We miss you dad!

Tiny Fingers, Tiny Toes

Today we got to see our little baby.
Everything looks great and we couldn't be happier to know that our baby is growing and is healthy!!!  Luke begged me on our first one to not find out what we were having and I knew I couldn't on our first so I promised him on our second one I wouldn't.  It is hard for the Mama not to find out what is growing inside but after today just seeing the little profile, hands, piggies, and a healthy heart I think I can make it till March.
So meet Baby Stewart #2- we are so excited!!!
The little profile
And the cute little foot
The ultrasound tech was so good about scanning over the bumb area- Luke was watching like a hawk even though he was the one that didn't want to find out!  So we are pretty sure it will either be a GIRL or BOY but that is all we know.
 Haha I am so funny!!!

Where did we go?!

It has been awhile since I last posted.  Things have just been same old around here.
We are excited for Fall to finally come!!!
Sunday we took Evan for a little walk down to see the cows by our house.  He loves making the animal noises- which are pretty much the cutest things you'll ever hear!
Evan and Daddy on our Sunday walk.  What do you see on your Sunday walks?   I bet not all of you enjoy the country and see horses, cows, sheep, etc.  There are definitely some perks to country living!
We got this little car for Evan awhile ago and he loves the thing.  Stores all sorts of things in the front "trunk".  Here he is with his "Big Gulp" in hand for his little outing.
Just checking out the cows.
My two boys...with a lovely sun set in the background.
Evan showing Daddy the "moo's"
Luke training for his big Canada trip.
(Don't worry he started packing Wed and he doesn't leave until Saturday?! Just a little excited?!)
And one of the best things of my life came in the mail the other day...Drum roll please!!!
It's finally Official!  I am a college graduate!!!
A few weeks ago Grandpa Joe celebrated his 89th Birthday.  Anita planned a lovely little gathering for it!
Grandpa Joe sure loves all the great-grandkids.  He loves to hear them laugh, sing, play!  They all sang a song for him.  Even Evan was up there just clapping away and singing...or attempting to sing!
