Missouri Trip~

Evan and I were so lucky to be able to go and visit Tiff and George in Missouri~!  Two months is too long without them.  Kirksville is a cute little town in Missouri with a Walmart, a few Dollar stores, and a chinese buffet!  We had a fun filled week regardless and did so many fun things!  Here are some of our travels:

Went to a Amish little market and they had a little pumpkin patch too

We did a lot of Amish hunting...my favorite thing to do! They are everywhere out there~

Evan and George were just two peas in a pod!

Tiff and I being silly

We decided that since we were so close to Nauvoo we better make the trip!  We stayed in a hotel the night before just outside of Nauvoo and then spent the next day visiting Nauvoo and Carthage jail.

Nauvoo is such a cute little town- I loved it!  I haven't been there since we went as a family with my Dad.  It just has a neat little spirit there.

We may have gone here twice in one day......

It was pretty chilly the day we were there so we decided to hop on the wagon ride so we could see most of Nauvoo in an hour!  It was so fun and I highly recommend it with kiddos.

Evan got pretty fussy on the ride and it was the type of fussy that was super uncomfortable because you couldn't hear what the lady was saying!  Luckily he fell asleep fast.  So after the ride I apologized to everyone on the ride and they all said not to apologize, "It wouldn't be a Mormon meeting without babies crying!" Few!!! It was pretty funny though because that is the truth~

We were able to go to Carthage Jail as well.  This is the window where Joseph Smith fell out of when he was shot and killed.

Carthage Jail is a neat little spot to visit.  I still can't believe all that happened back there and all that the pioneers sacrificed for us.  They were amazing people!

Some of Tiff's family friends own a ranch where they have Elk, deer, etc. So we got to go for a little tour!  It was so gorgeous!

While Jed went hunting we went to a little town called Ethel and ate at this cute little restraunt.

The owner asked us to sign the wall because no one from Utah had been in there.  Funny story- he told me just to write Ogden Utah because no one has really heard of Salt Lake!  It was hilarious.  Notice that I put SLC....for some reason I can't claim Spanish Fork as my home yet!

Just some pics at this cute little barn in town~

Missouri is so pretty this time of year.  The colors are just so vibrant.  It is so weird to not have mountains but the rolling hills are pretty gorgeous too!  We had so much fun with Tiff and George and our time went too fast! We shopped, giggled, drove a ton, took lots of pics, did some crafts, ate a lot, and just had a grand ole' time!  We can't wait to go back!
