Dear Baby Stewart

Mommy and Daddy are just wanting to let you know that we are ready for you to come any time now. Mommy has loved being pregnant and it has not been hard for her...that is until my feet, legs, and hands started to look like this everyday for the past month. They swell up and go almost purple and it is starting to hurt Mommy! But I will miss feeling you move, feeling you have the hiccups, and just being with you 24/7. You have come everywhere with me for the past 9 months! Although it will be nice to see my feet again and to be able to sleep on my tummy again and get somewhat of a waist back (even if it is a little rolly-polly). I have waited so patiently for the day that I would be a Mom and now it is right around the corner. There have been days when I get nervous and scared, and then there are days where I can't stand it because I am so excited. I have hit the stage where I am just so ready to meet you and see your little face and body. Daddy is so excited for you to come as well. He asks me almost everyday when you are going to come. Soooo baby Stewart- any day now!!!
(Warning- the picture below is not just the angle folks...that is the real deal!)

We have your stroller....

Your bouncer chair is just in the family room waiting for you to come as well...

We have your car seat to bring you home from the hospital in...

And last but not least Grammy helped me get the cradle all set up right next to Mommy and Daddy's bed!

So as you can see we are all set and ready for you to come. Mommy has painted the letters of your name to go above the crib in your room but we are waiting to see your little face to make our final decision. I have your outfit all ready to go in our hospital bag. We can't wait for you to come!!!

Baby Shower Finale~

On Saturday I had my final baby shower. Now that I am 38 weeks along and bigger than ever! It really was so fun to see all my friends even if I was the "BIG" friend!!! Of course the morning of the shower I woke up to Luke saying, "Bless your heart". That is always my first clue that I have a HUGE zit somewhere on my face. It wouldn't be true to my pregnancy if I didn't have a big ole' shinner on my chin! My friends put together such a fun shower- there was everything from Taco Soup and all the fixings to a Chocolate Fountain.

Cute little Belle, Thern, Gabe, & Barb

Here is the crew. We took this after some people had left.
L t R: Trina, Niki, Me, Abs, Jamie, Coco, Megs, Tessa,
Front Row: Belle, Care, & Megs

I have some pretty cute friends eh?!
Megs, Care, & my Mother!

Carolines little niece Belle helped me open all of my presents. If it was just clothes she wanted to move onto another present. It was hilarious. This is the gift from my Mom. I felt like Mary Poppins because I just kept pulling things out! It was so fun.
(This is the good view of the shinner on my chin!)

I really did get showered with gifts! I serioulsy feel so spoiled. Baby Stewart is one lucky guy. We got everything from diapers, shoes, toys to True Religion shirts and Diesel Pajamas.

Here is the tray with all of the stuff for the game. I was the lucky recepient of the tray full of goods. There was everything on it! Thanks gals...

Megs and I. Megs just got engaged and is getting married in May. We became friends all the way back in the 7th grade. Love this gal!

Megs, Pris, Tessa, and Linds

Megs, Megs, Pris, and Big Mama.
As you can tell I can never call anyone by their full name. It drives Luke nuts!

Megs, Coco, Niki, and Jamie

Care and Abs
I just wanted to thank everyone for all of the fun gifts. It is always so fun to have an excuse to get together with old friends! As I was putting everything away last night in the nursery I sort of got a little overwhelmed. Not to be cheesy- but I serioulsy feel so blessed. I could not have bought all the things that I have received from my showers and what not. I am totally set! I have everything I need from Desitin to bibs, humidifier, bouncer, etc. Thanks to everyone for your love, support, and generosity! Baby Stewart is one lucky little man~

Baby Showers

The cute Young Women in my ward threw the 4 prego leaders a shower last Thursday. It was so cute because they had tied us each a quilt- not only did they tie us a quilt but they did it at 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning! It was so fun- we played some fun games, they guessed how much our babies would weigh, and of course had some delicious ice cream sundaes.
L to R: Melissa- Due April 21, Me Due Feb 12, Brindy Due Feb 22, and Tiff Due Feb 2! Angie the YW president got us each a little outfit. The boys got plaid flannel shirts and overalls. Lets just say that any boy that is born in Palmyra needs a flannel shirt and some overalls- it just goes with the town! It is so cute.

Danielle's Baby Shower

My friend Danielle was due the first of Feb. All my friends from High School got together for a shower for her and baby Kate. It was so fun to see everyone. Danielle had her baby girl on Sunday-lucky duck!
The 3 prego gals~ I think in a month I will regret ever posting pictures of me pregnant because I am so large and in charge but let's be honest that is what and who I am these days!

We are both about to POP!

Maternity Models on Good Things Utah

A few months ago I e-mailed Alicia from Good Things Utah about tips for Maternity Clothes. Next thing I knew I had agreed to be a model for a segment. I didn't realize that it wasn't going to be until January when I would be 8-9 months prego. Alicia asked me to round up a few models to come along for the segment. We all went shopping with Alicia to find our outfits and it was so fun to go shopping with her because she was completely honest! She gave me tips for covering up my acne...how to do our hair, what make-up to wear, etc. I asked two of my friends from my ward and then one of my best friends Trina to come be on it with me. We were on the show this past Thursday and it really was a fun experience. Can't say that I loved what I looked like or that I felt like much of a model....but when this baby is born one day I will tell him that I went on my favorite show and modeling my baby bump!
Tiff, Melissa, Big Mama, & Trina in the Green room!

Tiff, Melissa, Alicia, Big Mama, & Trina in our outfits we modeled. I think I should have stood at a different angle or at least tried to hide behind Alicia! (She is tiny!!!)

Us gals on the set with all of the hosts. I know, I know, I am such a nerd- I watch the show everyday, know their kids names, where they live, etc.....I just love GTU.
Tiff and I right before we were going to be on TV~!
This was in the Green room while we were getting ready. So cheesy but I was loving being there and seeing these gals again!
My Mom, Hailey, and my Aunt Susie all come to see me on the show. I took a picture with them but it turned out blurry. Gotta love GTU!!! Here is the link if you want to see us in action....

My Family Baby Shower

My Mom went all out. From colors, to food, to decor. I think whatever they sold that was with the theme she bought. It was so cute! Let's just say I felt pretty special.
The little sign that of course went along with everything else!

Here is the food table once it was all in place. We had all my favorites from Rich's Bagels, slush, fruit, veggies, cookies, cupcakes.....It was quite the feast!

Me with two of my favorite people in the world. Mary and Sara- they are from my home ward in Sandy.
Dev was loving the "party". She was helping me open the presents and when it was clothes she would just chuck them away and move onto something better. When she would open a blanket she would try to lift up my shirt and put it on the baby. She is so funny!

Taycie was just moving around through the entire shower- dumping the M&M's and playing with the wrapping paper. She is a hoot!

Big Mama opening her gifts. This little guy is going to be set. Although girl stuff is a lot cuter I am getting used to the boy thing and there is "some" cute stuff for them too! I guess for boys socks are their "bows" or how you make their outfits cute. Luke has some rules when it comes to what they wear. It can't be polka dots or anything girly- OBVIOUSLY!

My Grammy knitted me an afgan, quilted a quilt, made a hooded bath towel and wash clothes, receiving blanket, bib, and burp rag. She is quite the gal. I was so excited to see what she had made and once we know the name of Baby Stewart she is going to sew it on the things she made!

Me and my sis Chels

Me and my best friend Abs

My Grandma Huish drove all the way from Twin Falls Idaho just for the day to come to the shower. She gave Baby Stewart the cutest little outfit with a baseball theme! Please excuse the swollen face and the big tummy- Baby on Board!

Chels, Mother, Big Mama, Taycie Rae, and Hailey
Now that I have had two showers I realize how much I didn't have before. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends that are so giving and generous. Baby Stewart is just about set. I just wanted to thank my family for throwing me that shower on Saturday. It was so fun to have everyone there. I got so many useful, fun, cute, practical things! I appreciate all the gifts and thanks to everyone who came.
I got checked today and let me tell you it was not a pleasant experience! I only have 4 more weeks give or take and I coulnd't be more excited. Luke is just about ready as well. Whenever I have little contractions he tells me- Oh but it is not quite time yet. It cracks me up because when this baby is ready to come, he is going to come!

Winter Country Living

So the other morning I woke up and it was totally foggy out in our neck of the woods. I was getting ready for work and I looked out the window to find that the fog had cleared and it was the most beautiful morning! This is such a funny post because I am not a nature lover or anything but it was one of the prettiest things I have ever seen. All of our trees had frost on them and everything was glowing. Not to mention the clear blue sky. It makes me grateful to live out in the peace and quiet.

Happy New Year 2009!!!

I must say that I have been looking forward to 2009 for a few reasons. The main reason is that it is the year that our baby boy will be born! I only have about 5 more weeks and as time goes faster and faster I realize that I am not so sure that I am ready. Are you really ever ready though? We couldn't be more excited and I couldn't be any more uncomfortable these days- so it is time for him to come! Last night we hung a few things on the wall in the nursery finally then Luke asked me what else we need for the baby....I told him we will probably need a car seat to bring him home in. We both just laughed because that is the most important thing you need! I start going to the doctor every week now and they will check me for the first time on Monday. It is so fun to have this to look forward to- what a great way to start off the new year!!!! Hope you all have a great 2009!
