A much needed Girls trip is just around the corner!!!

The time has come- well almost for me to go to Chicago! My mom and I leave on Friday in the early am to go and I couldn't be more excited. We finally got our hotel booked and it is a cute hotel right by the Magnificent Mile in Downtown Chicago. It is called Hotel Indigo- it is like the Hotel Monico downtown Salt Lake. Needless to say I have found that the theatre where we will see Dirty Dancing is just a mile away, H&M not even a mile, the Hershey shop, The Land of Nod, Nordstrom, and the list goes on are in walking distance from our hotel! I think I am just excited to shop, eat, and play for an entire weekend! I think I better take cash on this one so that Luke can't track my steps! :)

Half Way!

So today we had our 20 week appointment and that means that I am officially half way! We got to see our little guy and it was absolutely amazing. He was moving around like crazy. We got some really cute shots of his profile, his boy thing :), his little feet, and his cute little body. It was such a relief to see two arms, two, legs, 4 chambers of the heart, etc! I am not good and being able to tell what is what but at least his Daddy is. Luke was cracking me up just loving that he could tell what was what even before the lady could tell us. He just has an eye I suppose. He would say, "that is his femur, there is his foot, that is his bladder, oh there is his hand." It was so dang cute to see Luke get all excited to see his little guy. I am so excited for my little baby boy but I am also so excited to see Luke be a Dad. He is going to be an amazing father! These little babies are such miracles. It has been so fun lately because I can feel him move now and so I know that he is alive and kicking!

Happy Birthday Devree!!!!

I can't believe that lil' Dev is "2" today! It seems like just yesterday that she was born. I will never forget that day for the rest of my life- I got to actually see her be born. She was just a tiny little thing. Dev has the cutest personality in the entire world and she is just a crack up. She has grown into this little girl now. She likes lipstick and chapstick, suckers, new clothes, sleeping in her big girl bed, & her shows (Enchanted, Little Mermaid, etc.) She totally gets in the zone- when she is watching her shows if you want to ask her something you have to turn the TV off in order to get a response. Dev can always make my day- on the phone she says the custest most animated "HI". She will always give me loves and I never can get enough of her! Dev Happy 2nd Birthday!!!! I love you to peices!

5 Months

I can't believe that I am just about half way done with being pregnant. It has gone somewhat fast and I am hoping that with the Holidays that Baby Stewart will be here before we know it. I have been having such a hard time with just a few things and I was wanting some tips from you Mothers out there. First, I have acne really bad. It continually gets worse and just when I think it is clearing up....it is there the next morning. I totally understand that this is a normal hormonal pregnancy thing but if any of you have any tips, suggestions, creams, cleansers, etc that worked for you I would greatly appreciate it. (As would Luke because every night I go to the mirror and cry!!!) Secondly, I have been having really bad headaches. Lastly, I have been waking up in the night around 2 am starving hungry. It is not just like the munchies it is like I have that burning hungry feeling. I am not even hungry when I go to bed- How could I be when I have eaten everything in sight all day long?! So what do you do? Do you eat or do you just lay there and try and fall back to sleep?!

Dream come true!

So I am approaching my 1/2 way mark on my pregnancy and I am pretty excited about that! But I have been trying to talk Luke into a little get-a-way trip for us before our little guy comes. I get the usual responsible Luke response- "We don't have any money". So please believe I booked a trip for myself and then informed him that I would be out of town the first weekend in October. He then felt bad but then I explained to him that I have one last free plane ticket, the ticket was only $100, and then the hotel. (Sorry Luke!) I have been freaking out ever since I found out that my favorite movie Dirty Dancing was going on Broadway!!!! I don't think there is anything better than going to a good ole' Broadway. I did some research and found that it is going to LA but not until when they baby will be here....so I did some more research and found that it was going to be in Chicago the end of Septemeber through November. So I invited my Mother, Hailey, Chels, and Gaye. Out of those the only taker was my Mother! So Nance and I will be flying out on Friday October 3rd and return on October 5th. I figure I better get some girl trips in now before I get too big!
Classic Dirty Dancing Lines:
1. Nobody puts baby in the corner.
2. I carried a Watermelon
3. How do you call your lover boy? Oh Lover boy....and if he still doesn't answer...Oh lover boy!
4. I'm scared of what I saw, of who I am, but most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I'm with you.
Needless to say I will give you all a full report about how Dirty Dancing is on Broadway!!!!

Happenings this week.....

Yesterday some friends and I got together to celebrate Megs new baby boy! His name is Samuel River and he is just a little guy! We had to change our plans from the Zupas in Draper to the Zupas in Provo because Jamie ended up having her baby on Wednesday. Megs daughter Abigail is just the funnest little gal, she was just cracking Abs and I up! (There is a picture of the new baby in a different pic!)
Abs was just loving holding little Samuel. He has a strong little head and he is just a wiggler.
After dinner we headed over to Utah Valley to Visit Jamie and new baby Noah. He is so tiny as well and has a lot of dark hair! Jamie wanted me to make sure that everyone knew that she had just had a baby the day before- I think she looks just great! From Left to Right: Niki, Abs, Abigail, Me, Megs, Baby Sam, Trina, Jamie, and Baby Noah.
This week I also was lucky enough to have the girlies come visit me at my office. Dev doesn't even say hi to me when she comes here she goes straight for my candy! She is in the funniest stage where she just wants 2 of everything.
Here is Hailey and lil Taycie. She is getting so big lately and is just developing the cutest personality. She loves to be held, kissed, snuggled, etc. She is my snuggle bug!
The girlies posing for their Aunt Ali. Aren't they the cutest?!
Taycie is showing off her cute little shirt that Ashlie made her. Taycie cracks me up- all you have to do is say her name and she grins from ear to ear!

Over Labor Day weekend Gaye and Yosh were in town with the little guys. We all spent the weekend up in Midway staying at Grammy and Bompa's house. We just ate, went to Swiss Days, napped, and had a grand old time. Luke developed a special place in his heart for Porter this weekend. Porter would just give him loves, kisses- which Luke would always give him his cheek and Po wanted some lips! He is such a sweet little guy. Dal and Porter are so stinking cute- they were so excited for the first BYU game. All they wanted to do was play catch, ball, or any sport they could think of. This picture was all of us at Breadstixs in Midway.
This is Grammy, Bompa, Darin, Susie, and Maddie at dinner. This restraunt does a cheese fondu- I was not a big fan but then again I am pregnant and not much tastes good to me these days.
Here we are at our little table. This is a funny story. At dinner Taycie was fussy, Dev was all over, knocked the glass of the table and broke it, etc. Well Luke leaned over to me and goes, "What are we getting ourselves in to?!" I always have to remind him that it is different when it is your own, but it is still going to be a lot of work! It was just a crack up though because poor Hailey had had enough!
This is cute lil Taycie on our second morning at Swiss Days. Like I said, she is just a snuggle bug. She would just wake up for a minute and then go right to sleep. She was quite the trooper!
Dal and Dev were so cute together all weekend. Dev was always wanting to know where Dal and Po were at all times. I have come to the conclusion that Neices and Nephews are my favorite. So as you can see it has been quite the eventful week for us!
